Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is a non-profit private organization. It promotes innovation and the transfer of technology, establishing the interface between the scientific and technological system and the production sector, through: Research and technological development, consultancy and specialized services; Business and ideas incubation; The Laboratory in charge of this project is the Laboratory of Analysis, Wear and Materials of IPN (LED&MAT) is involved in research and technological services in the area of modification of surface properties of materials by PVD to increase the protection against wear, corrosion/oxidation, reduction of friction coefficient and increase the hardness.
